Water, Moss, Echo: Seljalandsfoss & Gljúfrabúi
Seljalandsfoss is the waterfall you can walk behind—if you don’t mind getting misted. Waterproof layers help, so does a microfiber cloth for the lens. A five-minute path north leads to Gljúfrabúi, half-hidden in a mossy cleft. Step into the narrow canyon (ankle-deep) and look up: a white column drops through a skylight of green. Both falls sit just off the Ring Road with clear signage and a large parking area. The short distances make it easy to time your visit between tour buses or to add a spontaneous stop if the weather breaks. Consider a late afternoon loop when the light warms and the crowds thin.
